Etudes Ballet School

Etudes Ballet School was established in 2016 with the purpose of bringing quality performing arts instruction to the Northern Neck. We believe that dance is joy, and that everyone needs some in their lives! We welcome students of all ages and abilities. Come and be a part of our family!
Central to our philosophy is empowering students through a positive learning environment. Our approach is twofold: First, we believe that students learn better when they are encouraged and respected. Therefore we do not employ harsh, shame-based disciplinary tactics.

Second, we encourage body positivity. We never discuss size or shape, nor do we label our bodies or body parts as “bad” or “good”. We also never talk about food or exercise in the context of contributing to body weight or weightloss. All body types are valid, and all deserve the chance to dance with no strings and no judgement.
