The Baxter Insurance Group was founded in 1985 by John Baxter, with little more than his own hard work and desire to support his growing family, he met all the challenges set by Nationwide, becoming one of the most successful new agents in the entire company. Built on that success, he began his own brokerage firm to allow his business to grow and support the community in more ways.

We have over 35 years of experience serving the communities of Gloucester, Hampton Roads, Northern Neck, Chincoteague and the surrounding areas.  The Baxter Insurance Group prides itself in the “on your side service” and what we are most known for.
